When you’re looking for a scenic, peaceful walk in Golden Gate Park, don’t overlook Whiskey Hill – a 1/4-mile long walk with a path decorating the ridge. Shaded and woody, the hill offers seclusion and a connection to the natural beauty of the park.

Things to Do

Stretch your legs with a brief walk in the park. Follow the trail that starts just south of the Big Rec Ball Field at 7th Avenue, and continue on to reach the dog run area. Climb up the hill, and keep on walking until you reach the Children’s Playground. Seek out a shady spot to relax in the midst of nature. Pack a picnic lunch for a romantic outing, or simply take time to yourself with a good book.

Whiskey Hill is located between Lincoln Way, Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and Kezar Way.
