If you’re new to the concept of spending a Thursday night at Golden Gate Park’s California Academy of Sciences, then you’re truly missing out. The weekly, themed nightly get-togethers offer an array of musical, cultural, interactive, and of course, scientific activities and wonders to explore. Throughout the night, you’ll most likely work up an appetite. In addition to some of the themed, unique edibles and beverages offered by local vendors in the Bay Area, the Academy also serves up the following food and drink options:

Nightlife Food Options

From 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., when hungry, refuel with a variety of food options available during every NightLife event. Head for the Academy Cafe on Level 1 (across from Rainforest) to sit down for a spell. Food and drinks come courtesy of San Francisco’s renowned chef Charles Phan. In the Lobby, an Academy Cafe Food Cart provides a small selection of grab-and-go food. On the Lower Level, the Moss Room is a nice place to sip an artisan cocktail or sample a range of local wine and beer.

Nightlife Drink Options

Thanks to their resident mixologist, the Academy offers a ‘Cocktail Tour’ during most Nightlife events, which includes a different, fresh seasonal ‘Craft on Draft’ cocktail served at each bar area. You never know what you’re going to find on the latest cocktail tour menu.
