One moment you’re watching a good friend walk down the aisle at the San Francisco County Fair Building (also known as the Hall of Flowers), while next month may see the building fill with exotic blooms. This popular event space in Golden Gate Park accommodates get-togethers of 50 to 2,000 people, who can mingle across a total event space of 30,000 square feet with access to four separate rooms.

Throughout the year, the County Fair Building at Golden Gate Park hosts a range of fairs, fundraising activities, community events, weddings, private parties, and other local gatherings. Garden clubs and flower societies often book the building for their horticultural extravaganzas, such as the Botanical Society Spring Plant Sale, Orchid Sale, Dahlia Society meetings, and the Ikebana International Flower Show Sale.

Thinking about reserving space at Golden Gate Park? The County Fair Building is a popular venue for local events and offers rental of the Garden Club Room, Recreation Room, auditorium, gallery, patio, and gallery courtyard. There is also a full commercial kitchen on the premises. Keep in mind that there is no parking available at the SF County Fair Building, and the parking lot is solely set aside for loading and unloading purposes. However, an abundance of free parking can be found within the park and on Lincoln Way – especially before 8 a.m. On Sunday, street parking is free.
When renting the County Fair Building for your next event, note that permit fees are assessed on a per-hour and per-room basis with security deposits to consider. You must also rent the space for a minimum of two hours.
