Transportation from InterContinental San Francisco to Golden Gate Park
1. Car or Taxi
One of the shortest routes from the hotel to the park by car or taxi takes about 16 minutes to complete.
Start by heading southwest on Howard Street toward 5th Street, before taking the 3rd right onto 6th Street. Continue onto Golden Gate Avenue/Taylor Street until you can make a right onto Taylor Street. Take the 1st left onto Turk St before making a left turn onto Stanyan Street. The park will be on your right.
To reach the park from the hotel by bike, expect a 29-minute ride. Start by heading southwest on Howard Street toward 5th Street, and then turn right onto 7th Street. Make a left turn onto McAllister Street, followed by a left onto Baker Street. Turn right onto San Francisco Bicycle Route 30, and make a right in order to stay on the bike route. Turn left onto Fell Street, before making a right turn onto Stanyan Street. The park will be on your left.
3. Light Rail
You will take a 6-minute walk from the hotel to catch the N – Judah (Direction: Ocean Beach via Downtown) from the Metro Powell Station/Outbound. The light rail arrives at Carl Street and Stanyan Street. The total trip takes 28 minutes to complete.
After taking about a 7-minute walk to the departure point of Market Street and Powell Street, you can take either the 5-bus (Fulton – Direction: Ocean Beach) arriving at Fulton Street and Stanyan Street West OR the 21-bus (Hayes – Direction: Golden Gate Park) arriving at Hayes Street and Stanyan Street. Both trips take about 32 minutes to reach the park.
