1. Car or Taxi
It takes about 16 minutes to reach the park from the hotel in a car or taxi.
Start by heading west on North Point Street toward Polk Street, before making a left turn onto Van Ness Avenue. Take the 1st right onto Bay Street, and then take the 2nd left onto Gough Street. Make a right onto Geary Blvd before turning left onto Stanyan Street. The park will be on your right.
The quickest bike route from the hotel to the park takes 35 minutes to complete. Start by heading west on North Point Street toward Polk Street, before making a left turn onto Polk Street. Make a right turn onto Broadway Street, followed by a left turn onto Webster Street. Turn right onto Clay Street, and then make a left turn onto Steiner Street. Turn right onto McAllister Street, before turning left onto Baker Street. Turn right onto San Francisco Bicycle Route 30. You will have to make a right to stay on the bike route. Make a left turn on Fell Street, before turning right onto Stanyan Street. The park will be on your left
Taking a bus from the Fairmount to Golden Gate Park will require a transfer. You will first walk about 4 minutes from the hotel to reach the departure point of the 49-bus (Mission-Van Ness – Direction: City College), which leaves from Van Ness Avenue and North Point Street, and arrives at Van Ness Avenue and Mcallister Street. You will then catch the 5-bus (Fulton – Direction: Ocean Beach) from Mcallister Street and Van Ness Avenue, which arrives at Fulton Street and Stanyan Street West.
