Can you stand five hours straight of laughter? If you come to Golden Gate Park on September 20, 2009 (12pm to 5pm), you’ll get a chance to enjoy a free outdoor comedy concert that strictly caters to your funny bone. Providing the laughs are a collection of fine Bay Area comics and don’t be surprised if a special guest decides to make an impromptu appearance – like Robin Williams.
This free event takes place at Sharon Meadow (John F. Kennedy Drive and Kezar Drive) and is open to all, but if you’re thinking of bringing along any little ones, keep in mind that the stage will deliver a colorful selection of PG-13 rated material. This year, Will Durst (an Emmy-nominated political satirist) presents some of his stand-up talent alongside 29 other comedians. Food and drinks will be available, including Ben & Jerry’s ice cream and Gordon Biersch beer. For more information, check http://www.comedyday.com/
